Frequently Asked Questions

Do you take my insurance?

We participate with most major insurances: AETNA, BS FEDERAL, CHILD HEALTH PLUS,CIGNA, EXCELLUS BC/BS, FIDELIS, FIRST HEALTH,GEHA, GHI/EMBLEM HEALTH, HMO BLUE OPTION, MEDICAID, MVP,PHCS,
RMSCO, ST. LAWRENCE/LEWIS COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT, STATEWIDE INDEPENDENT PPO, THE EMPIRE PLAN, UHC COMMUNITY PLAN, UNITED HEALTHCARE, UNIVERA,UMR, US FAMILY HEALTH PLAN (MARTINS POINT)

Can I bring the whole gang?

Normally, we say the more the merrier! However, during this pandemic, we ask that only one parent/guardian as well as the patient attends the visit. Please let us know if you have unusual circumstances that we should be aware of that would prevent you from being able to follow this policy.

Can I request my favorite provider?

Yes…and no. For routine, scheduled visits, we are usually able to honor that request. However, for acute same day sick visits, your preferred provider may not have availability. We think it is a good idea to get to know everyone in the practice so that your child feels comfortable with all of our providers. We think they are all pretty fantastic!

Are you being careful about COVID?

Absolutely. Since the first days of this pandemic, we have separated our sick visits and our well visits. The well visits are all seen in the morning hours, and the sick visits are all seen in the late afternoon. This way, you can be worry free as you bring your baby through the waiting room, use the restrooms, etc. In between every patient, we clean all surfaces and instruments thoroughly. For now, we have removed the toys and chalkboards from the rooms in order to avoid the spread of germs. Our nurses and doctors wash their hands frequently, wear face coverings at all times, and wear additional PPE when needed. We are also very thankful to have been vaccinated! We do daily temperature and symptom checks, and do not allow any sick employees to come to work.

What if I can’t make it?

Life happens! In order to keep things running smoothly, please reschedule at least 24 hours before your appointment time in order to avoid a no-show fee. This gives us time to offer the appointment to someone else who needs it. If you are more than 10 minute late, you will be considered a no-show. We will do our best to offer the next available appointment.
